Affiliate Disclosure
What that means in practice
Feeder Setup Guide is reader-supported. When a reader uses one of our affiliate links to make a purchase, the merchant pays us a small commission. That revenue pays for hosting, research time, and the occasional bag of seed. It does not change the price you pay, and it does not change which products we recommend — recommendations are made on the merits, in line with our editorial policy.
We only link to programs we have been approved for. Approval means the merchant has reviewed this site and agreed to the terms of their program; it is not a payment for placement.
Where disclosures appear on this site
A plain-language disclosure sits immediately before or beside the first affiliate recommendation on every article, and on every page where an affiliate link appears. The disclosure on this page is the site-wide statement; the in-article disclosure is repeated for convenience so the reader does not have to hunt for it.
The disclosure is never hidden behind a dropdown, only in the footer, or appended at the very end of an article.
Programs we participate in
As of last review, the site participates in one program. The list is updated when a program is added or removed.
- Amazon Associates — Amazon (store id
feedgs-20) — status: active
Where a program requires disclosure of its own, the required wording is included verbatim on the page that links to it.
How affiliate links are handled on this site
- Every affiliate link is clearly marked with
rel="sponsored". - Affiliate links open in a new tab so you can come straight back to the page you were reading.
- Dead offers are replaced or removed promptly; we do not earn from a link that does not work.
- Articles are written from a research packet before any affiliate relationship is considered. The order is: research, write, then consider monetization.
What this site does not do
- We do not accept payment to write a review or place a product in an article.
- We do not invent quotes, ratings, or testimonials.
- We do not make income claims presented as fact.
- We do not use manufactured urgency, fake scarcity, or fake regret stories.
